Did the CW put the wrong character in the grave on Arrow? A new poll might shock you.

According to a poll by Comic Book Resources where the fans were asked to vote on their favorite DC TV Hero there was a clear winner, The Black Canary. Black Canary walked away with over ⅓ of the 100k+ votes. She got more votes than the headliner Heroes; Green Arrow (4th), Flash (3rd) and Supergirl (5th). Even more surprising is the fact that Felicity came in second in the poll with 28k votes, 12k votes over the Flash. This lead me to a couple of  questions.Comicbook Resources Poll

So did they put the wrong person in the grave this season?

I am not saying for any stretch of the imagination that killing Laurel was wrong. It as a story did everything it needed to do, it made you feel and it shocked you. If it wasn’t spoiled on the net by some paparazzi photos from the set it would have caught me completely off guard. my only complaint about it was that it didn’t advance the story as much as I wanted. I figured her final words to Oliver would have had a bigger impact on the final fight. But that neither here or there, the fact is the people have spoken and people want the Black Canary.

Is this a perfect example of what may be wrong with Arrow?

The reason I ask this is because as you see the fans are split on what they want for Arrow. There are the hardcore comic people who say ‘Green Arrow and the Black Canary are meant for each other’ and then there are the shippers who for four years were screaming for the whole Olicity thing to happen. This is a case where I don’t think think you can make everyone happy. It’s the fan base when Laurel died had two trending hashtags #ByeByeBirdie and #NoLaurelNoArrow.

So now the question is with what is going on in Flash will the show runners take this opportunity to bring Laurel back? What are your thoughts?
