This week in DC on CW: Casting News

The huge announcement this week was the casting of Tyler Hoechlin as the new Superman but there were some other casting news that may have went under the radar.

As reported by Deadline, Josh Segarra is cast as Vigilante aka Adrian Chase for Season 5 of Arrow. ‘Adrian Chase and his alter ego the Vigilante first appeared in the 1983 New Teen Titans Annual #2. A New York City district attorney whose family was killed by mobsters, Chase sought justice in his own way. In the comics, there are several characters operating under the name Vigilante.’

Also from Deadline, Nick Zano will be added to Legends of Tomorrow for season 2 as Dr Nate Heywood, ‘a historian whose grandfather was Commander Steel, a member of the Justice Society of America. In the comics, Nate becomes Steel/Citizen Steel, a former member of the Justice League of America. The producers of the CW series are being ambiguous whether Nate will walk in his grandfather’s super heroic footsteps but, given the superhero nature of the show, that appears almost certain.’
