Rick Springfield has been tapped to play Lucifer’s latest vessel in multiple episodes of the upcoming 12th season of Supernatural.

Last season left many of us wondering what had happened to Lucifer but apparently he still is in fact alive and well. Robert Singer said during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Sunday that Lucifer will “try out a few different vessels” in the upcoming season.

I can’t say that I’m completely sold on the idea, but as we know the producers and writers of Supernatural always seem to make the most unlikely of scenarios work in a way least expected.
