The Flash and Supergirl Two Part Musical Crossover: 

At the Television Critics Association summer press tour it was announced by Greg Berlanti that The Flash and Supergirl will team up in a two-part musical episode that will air in the second half of the upcoming season. Berlanti said, “We’ve toyed with who potentially the villain could be,” and “we’ll be careful how we break into song,” hinting that some numbers could take place “in the characters’ heads.”

Rumor: Joss Whedon will be directing The Flash/Supergirl Musical crossover.

Constantine’s Future is Uncertain on the CW: 

Even though Constantine’s name has popped up for the next in line in the CW’s DC stable of shows. Greg Berlanti at the Television Critics Assoicaiton press tour stated that “We haven’t had any conversations with them about Constantine” and that CW is “kind of internally examining what they want to do with the character next”.  While this wasn’t the nail in the coffin for Constantine don’t expect him to appear on TV this season.

  • Arrow cast Dolph Lungren as a villain in season 5
  • Marc Guggenhiem has confirmed that the show’s fifth season will be the last of the flashbacks.
  • Andrew Kreisberg also revealed at the TCA panel that “a significant character will come out as gay. The only reason we wouldn’t [say now] is we really want the audience to enjoy the character developments, not necessarily be ahead of the storyline.”
