Star Trek never-before-seen deleted scenes, outtakes and VFX are revealed in new Blu-ray set

50 years ago NBC ordered 16 episodes of Star Trek, the first episode to officially air was on Thursday, September 8, 1966. During this past year, to help commemorate the year of celebration, Star Trek fans have received daily releases from the “Roddenberry Vault”  and on December 13 fans will receive one of the coolest surprises yet.  StarTrek.com is promising a new Blu-ray release of Star Trek: The Original Series that will reveal footage that’s new to even the most crazed fans. The disc set will include previously unseen material held by The Roddenberry Estate. How cool is that?!

Additionally, the set will contain alternate takes, deleted scenes, omitted dialogue, outtakes, and original visual FX elements. As I’m typing, I getting excited. This seems like a no-brainer for any Star Trek nutjub like myself.
