The Arrowverse Crossover Will Have Romance in the Air

CW President Mark Pedowitz confirmed at the 2017 TV Critics’ Association summer press tour that the Arrowverse Crossover will be a full four-episode crossover. Correcting what most saw to be in an error in last years crossover where virtually none of the crossover happened on Supergirl.

This year’s four-show crossover will kick off on Monday, November 27 with Supergirl, followed by Arrow.  Then conclude on Tuesday, November 28, with The Flash and then concluding with Legends of Tomorrow.

Pedowitz also teased that “Romance is in the air.” and “You get to see a whole different thing. They’re all big episodic productions, and this will be even bigger.”

Executive producers Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim were asked about the “romance is in the air” tease, Berlanti said, “Our way of making the show bigger this year was to go even more personal, so it’s a big life event for a few different people on the show.”

Guggenheim came back with, “We’re really approaching this big four-part event as two back-to-back two hour movies, and I think when you look at it through that lens, it becomes less important for the Supergirl episode to feel like a Supergirl episode and the Arrow episode to feel like an Arrow episode, which was always our approach in the past.”

Now many of the speculations around the net are leaning on Barry and Iris finally tying the knot. But I am going to throw out an idea from left field in a classic prediction sure to go wrong. The character I think everyone would love to see happy in love and that would be Joe West.

If the crossover is based on a romantic event:

Joe West will marry Cecile Horton.
