Cancelled in 2013 and revived on the Disney’s upcoming streaming platform

There were a lot of people hoping they’d get a big announcement during The Clone Wars panel at SDCC 2018 and those millions of TCW fans can at last rest easy. The Clone Wars is coming back!

During the panel, Dave Filoni along with cast Ashely Eckstein, Matt Lanter and composer Kevin Kiner, celebrated the shows 10th anniversary by discussing the shows production and shared a lot of personal thoughts on what it meant to be a part of the show and the Star Wars universe. The panel ended when Filoni revealed that The Clone Wars would be returning and will broadcast 12 all new episodes on Disney’s upcoming streaming service.

Not a lot of details are known at this time but we will keep you updated.  For those of you that may be new to the fandom. The animated television series was created by George Lucas and it delves into the period between Episode II and Episode III.
