Critique Revolve: ‘Pavarotti’ Review

Pavarotti a look inside the musical legend – (Review)

Welcome to Critique Revolve! In this episode, hosts Mike and David discussion and review Pavarotti. The documentary is directed by Ron Howard and explores the career of the musical legend.

Ron Howard’s documentary Pavarotti is a compassionate look at the musical icon that never quite feels like a documentary but rather a film designed solely for Howard to tell us how much he liked the man; a declaration of appreciation that feels more like a fan film opposed to anything resembling a documentary. Howard’s unwillingness to fully explore the controversial moments that marred the career of the musical legend toward the end of his life is quite evident.
