Critique Revolve: Come Play [Review]

Come Play sets out to redefine and bend a genre to its will. Unfortunately, it falls short of the goal.

Welcome to Critique Revolve: In this episode, the hosts review and discuss Focus Features’ Come Play

Synopsis: Parents fight to save their son when a mysterious creature uses his electronic devices to break into our world.

Come Play is a 2020 American horror thriller film written and directed by Jacob Chase. It stars Gillian Jacobs, John Gallagher Jr., Azhy Robertson and Winslow Fegley. The film follows the parents of an elementary school student with autism as they try to protect their young son from getting abducted by Larry, a villainous humanoid creature that preys on the innocence of children.
