The Writer of ‘Rogue One’ to adapt ‘The Last Jedi’ to Comic Book

The Last Jedi to be adapted into a comic book with all new scenes and perspectives

The story of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is not done yet! This spring, Gary Whitta (‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’) will expand the story beyond what was seen in the film by way of a comic book adaptation.

According to Walsh, they will “be adding scenes and adding others from a new perspective”. This is quite exciting, particularly the new perspective aspect, which will do doubt expand the scope of the story immensely.

We have also been assured that all the new elements that will be depicted exclusively in the comic will be considered canon i.e. part of the same Star Wars story Lucasfilm have been telling since Disney purchased the property

The adaptation is being written by Gary Whitta (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”) and drawn by Michael Walsh along with Mike Spicer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comic will debut its first of six issues on May 2, with a second issue later that month.
